Legal Question in Immigration Law in Ohio
I am a u s citizen can I sponsor a friend to get a green card?
1 Answer from Attorneys
No, you can't.
As a US citizen, you can petition for a Green card only a spouse, parents, children, siblings and a fiance (for a Fiance visa).
You can help someone to "sponsor" a foreign relative by taking financial responsibility (under the Affidavit of Support).
