Legal Question in Employment Law in Ohio
Termination
My wife worked as a Teller in a Bank. One day after coming back from my off day, She found out 2600$ were missing from my drawer (accessible to other employees also). She was put on paid suspension, and there was a police inquiry. Nothing came out of the police inquiry and after about 6 weeks, She was terminated saying She was responsible for the drawer (She had very good record before that). She does not even have a traffic violation and She was also willing to take a polygraph test which they never did take. She was never put on probation or not even given any notice. Does She have a case against them?

Re: Termination
Unfortunately, Ohio is an employment-at-will state, which means that unless her discharge was in violation of an employment agreement or was based upon age, race, sex, nationality, etc., your wife's remedy is probably limited to unemployment compensation. However, if I were you, I would consult an attorney just to make sure.
