Legal Question in Employment Law in Ohio
untrue references
I was terminated from my job and was told it was because they needed to make a manager change to increase profits. I had never been written up or formally counseled on poor performance. Today a representative from the corporate office told another company that I was ''fired because I was doing shady things''. Can they do this? What should I do?

Re: untrue references
You should commence litigation immediately. Your reputation will travel and a hint of shady could affect your entire career.
In an age of machine perfection, no hint of dishonesty is tolerated. Don't let anyone stigmatize you without a fight.
