Legal Question in Personal Injury in Ohio
I was hit from behind in a motor vehicle accident in February of 2009. I have been told that when I get my settlement, that I have to reimburse my insurance for the money they paid out on my claims. Why do I have to reimburse my insurance? Isn't that why I have insurance, so they pay my claims?

It depends on what claims they paid for you. If you read the policy closely, you will find they have retained the right to collect a repayment (called subrogation) for medical bills that they paid to you, from the amount they recover from the person who hit you. If you think they are violating the terms of the policy, you should consult with an attorney who handles personal injury cases.
