would the hotel be liable
wouldnt the hotel be liable for a flouresnt lite falling and cutting me in the face,even though i was just recovering from a rotten ceiling caving in on me?

The short answer is yes. The hotel may attempt to attribute some or all of your injuries to the prior accident, but it would certainly be liable for your new injuries to the extent they were caused by their negligence. The hotel may also be liable to the extent it prolonged your recovery from the first accident. Do you work for this hotel, or were you a guest or visitor? How much time passed between the two accidents? How far along were you in your recovery from the first accident? Is the cut on your face a new injury, or a reopening of a prior injury? Is it a deep cut, or a scratch? As you can see there are a number of question to be answered. You should talk to an attorney.
