Does one have to file the answers with the court or is OK to just send to the other party via certified mail?

Dear Reader, You are correct in your inquiry. Under the Ohio Rules of Civil Procedure, and Local Rules of Court, responses to discovery may NOT be filed with the Clerk of Courts. You may serve your responses by Certified Mail with a Return Receipt Requested, and save a copy for your files.
