independant contractors

I own a salon. I have every independent contractor, who comes to rent a booth in my salon, signs a lease. If they break the lease with about ten weeks remaining is it worth me pursuing them legally for the balance owed?

There are two things to consider:

1. Does the person have assets you can attach if you sue successfully?

2. Is the amount owed worth the effort and expense?

Remember, anything up to $3000 you can handle yourself in small claims.
