Mechanic Lien on Property

If I buy a home at a sheriff sale am I responsible to pay for any and multiple liens against the property?

Dear Reader: Properties purchased at Sheriff's sale auctions, by law, foreclose all liens against the real property being sold EXCEPT IRS Tax liens. Accordingly, be very careful when bidding to ascertain whether, or not, the property has any Federal tax liens, which will transfer liability with the Sheriff's Deed.
