Legal Question in Traffic Law in Ohio

hit and run

on saturday febuary 10th i was in a gas station parking lot and was backing out of my spot. i was watching a van pulling up behind me to make sure it was going to stop and i heard a noise. i did not think i hit anything, but when i went into that gas station again today one of the employees who worked at the gas station imformed me that i had hit one of the other employees cars while i was backing out saturday night. Is it still considered a Hit and Run since i was not aware that i had hit the car?

You may have to convince the police that you did not know that you hit the car. If you cannot you will be charged, and you will need a lawyer. They generally just want to make sure that you pay the damages...if in fact you did do the damage.
