executor compensation
I am executor for an estate of a gentleman who died. He is survived by his wife. Am I entitled to any compensation? If so what?

Yes, the executor can receive compensation. Go to the Cuyahoga County Web Site for the Probate Court. they may have a form for computation of the executors fees.

Yes, you are entitled to a commission by statute. It is 4% of the 1st 100K of the gross estate, 3% of the next amount from 101K to 500K, and 2% of the amount over 500K. Check Title 21 of the Ohio Revised Code.
