how can i find out if my mother had a will she died in 2002

If you have reason to believe there is a will and cannot locate it, you can also file a motion for production of the will with probate court.

Check with the probate court in the county where she was living when she died to see if a probate was filed for her or if the court has a will on deposit for her. Also, please contact her prior attorney, if any.
