Photographing Garage Band

I have a neighbor, whose son has a garage band which plays very loud. In preparing to file a small claims action for nuisance, I videotaped their performance from my property. I was careful to keep my camera below my fence, as there are privacy slate in the chain link, which obscure the view. Am I breaking any laws, as the garage band is made up of high school aged kids?
