Legal Question in Immigration Law in Oregon
hi there
just wondering what forms you need and how much it will cost to become a us citizen i have been in america coming on to four years this june and i am married to a us citizen i live in oregon
1 Answer from Attorneys
To become a USA citizen, you will first have to become a lawful permanent resident (obtain a Green Card), and be a permanent resident for at least 3 years (if married to a USA citizen).
What is your current status (visa) in USA: are you here legally or illegally; if you came on a visa, what visa and when; when your admission expires or had expired? etc.
Depending on your sitiation, different forms, applications and fees will be appropriate.
