Legal Question in Personal Injury in Oregon

My 16yr old and I were recently in an accident on may 19th. I was rear ended and we had minor injuries. I have a bruised collar bone which is much better now but still somewhat aches now n then. My son had slight whiplash n his neck n head still ache but not as bad as the day after the accident. The insurance company wants to settle for $700 for each of our injuries. Is that a fair amount and what happens if mine or my sons injuries keep bothering us?

That is not at all fair. You have no idea what permanent injuries you may have sustained. You need to consult an attorney. I do not handle cases like this, but the law firm of Kafoury McDougal in Portland does. You can reach them at 503-224-2647 or [email protected]. They provide an initial consultation visit for you at no charge, and they usually take cases on a "contingency" basis, which means that you do not have to pay them, unless they succeed in obtaining money for you from the entity that harmed you or its insurance company.
