Legal Question in Workers Comp in Oregon

Special circumstances

I was in my vehicle going to pick up another temporary employee to help me complete a job when I hit a patch of ice and was injured seriously enough that I will be off work for at least two months. Iwas instructed by my employer and by Cardinal industries to pick up this employee as i could not complete my job without help.

Someone from workmans comp. came right to the hospitol and informed me that I was not covered as I was not on the job. I am going to appeal this and I need help locating any laws regarding my situation. Any help or advice you may give would be greatly appreciated. Thanking you in advance.

Re: Special circumstances

The facts you recite appear to describe a compensable injury. Do you have proof(preferably written) of your employer's instructions and do you have the agreement of the temporary coworker of the need for him(or her). Facts provable will determine the outcome of an appeal. call me at 503 224 0436.
