Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Pennsylvania

Attachment of earnings

I am disabled with a very bad heart and have been for 2 1/2 yrs. now. My wife & I have been barely managing during that time to pay our bills. About 3 months ago we had to stop paying a few of our major credit cards. I receive long term disability & social security disability & my wife works full time. Our situation will not change. My question is: can anyone attach our income if we continue in this manner? What would be our best course of action?

Re: Attachment of earnings

Pennsylvania is not a wage attachment state, but it is a bank account attachment state. If you would be able to keep up with current bills without the credit cards, a Chapter 7 (liquidation) bankruptcy may be appropriate.
