Legal Question in Business Law in Pennsylvania
I attempted to purchase membership to an online gaming website, but kept receiving an error message stating that my payment had not gone through and to try again. At first I though I had typed my card number in wrong, but after three attempts I gave up. The website also stated that my bank account would not be charged, however when I check my account online, I found that I was charged for the three attempts. I have not received membership and have contacted the company which owns the online game via E-Mail. The company's excuse is that they are based in the UK, however I have purchased game coins/game memberships from similar websites, which are also based in the UK and had no problems doing so. Obviously they had no problem taking my money within a few seconds, what can I do to ensure that the money is placed back into my account by Monday?

As a Franchise Attorney I can only advise the following. Contact your bank and credit card company to let them know what happened. They should begin an investigation, but don't count on getting your money back by Monday. It will likely take some time as in weeks or even months. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
