Legal Question in Business Law in Pennsylvania

Business

I am trying to start my own business. I am going to be working out of my own home, with an online store selling natural homemade cleaners. How do I cover my own rear, (i.e. if someone were to sue me), and how do I charge sales tax if I am not an LLC. I will not have a partner, nor will I have employees. Thank you so much for your help.

Re: Business

The best way to limit your liability is to have a comprehensive set of terms and conditions that your customers would accept as part of the ordering process. Your business entity type does not determine whether or not you charge sales tax (however I would recommend that you not enter this business as a sole proprietor).
