Protecting my business logo

Hello,

I am starting a small business and am also nlaunching a web site for it. i have made a business logo on adobephotoshop and would like to license it so that it can not be stolen from my business. how do i go about this? who should i contact? state gov? federal gov? what forms do i need to fill out? thanks

You should file a trademark with the US Patent & Trademark office. The costs are about $335. Their website can be helpful at uspto.gov. Also, you should begin using your trademark ASAP & often, so anyone claiming rights to it will have to prove it was theirs first. Please contact us with any other questions. Good luck.
