Legal Question in Business Law in Pennsylvania
I sell advertising for a publishing company. This company takes away the commission of their salespeople if an advertisement is paid outside of 90 days. Sometimes the money has been paid before the commission is taken away. This is written into our compensation that's presented to us every year. I am questioning the legality of a salesperson selling a service, our company providing that service, our company gets paid for that service, but we don't.

As a Franchise Attorney I agree this doesn't sound right at all. Your best option is to contact your local employment development or labor department. Let them know what's happening and they will investigate and take corrective action. That's what they get paid (from our tax dollars) to do. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
