Legal Question in Business Law in Pennsylvania
We own a small picnic grove. It is open june thru Aug. We had a contract with a catering company for 1 year. We told him we were not using his services next year. He put a stop payment on monies he owes us for this past year and refuses to vacate even though the season is over.

If you've got a valid contract with the catering company, and money is owed to you, and you are not otherwise in breach of the contract, you may have to sue in District Court for the money owed to you. The jurisdictional judgment limit in the District Court is $8,000.00. If you are owed more, you will need to file in the Court of Common Pleas in your county.
There's a slight chance you could work this with the assistance of your local police too. It's possible that the cops would see this as a theft - to the extent that the catering company put a stop-payment on funds that are rightfully yours. It's worth a shot to contact them at least.
