Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Pennsylvania

police reassignment?

If the state has filed a case against you but the police officer is anything but partial (calls the media before calling the district justice when making an arrest, going on the news and saying that he knows this person was guilty before even talking to him/her), is there any way to file a suit against him or at least get him off of the case? This police officer has given the media much incorrect information just to make things sound worse than they really are and get public opinion against the person the charges were filed against.

Re: police reassignment?

This is the job of your lawyer. In this case, if it was big enough that the police have broken any semblance of protocol, you should have a strong argument that the prosecution is fatally flawed. Hire a lawyer and attack the prosecution process.
