Legal Question in Technology Law in Pennsylvania
PayPal Account Used to Order Items Online
Recently myself and a few friends ordered items off of another persons paypal account. But I had received the password to the account from the account holder. So I never hacked or stole any passwords from the account holder, I was simply given the same password as used on a different account (for a game). In total over 350 USD was used from the account split between a few people. What charges can be brought against me. Now the person that gave the password to me gave it quite some time ago and just recently he mentioned he wanted a lawsuit and not to be reimbursed just so he can get a new computer. I feel like a lawsuit would be an unfair punishment for the current situation seeing as I was supplied with the password. Thanks for your time.

if you were given permission and paid him you should be fine. If you have not paid then you owe the money and will lose in court
