2nd charge for Marjiuana

My boyfriend got a charge for possession of marjuaiana and perfinallia. This is his second one. He did get bribed by the renta cop at the school. I am afraid he couldn't use that because of no one beliving him. I just want to know the worst and best possable things that could happen.

The maximum potential sentence for possession of a small amount of marijuana (less than 30 grams) is 30 days and $500 fine. The maximum potential sentence for Possession of drug paraphenalia is 1 year and $2500 fine.

Neither of these penalties are likely, even if he had a prior possession conviction. He should receive no more than a sentence of probation for a year. However, there are lot of variables involved.
