I was charged with a felony bit took a plea to a misdemeanor. Should my record show a felony or a misdemeanor?

If you had your original charge reduced to a misdemeanor from a felony, then your record should reflect a misdemeanor guilty plea. Thereby telling the court and everyone else that you are accepting responsibility for that particular charge as a misdemeanor.
