Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
Public Drunkeness
I was arrested in January 2008 for public drunkeness. The court obviously made a typo and set my court date for December 2008 nearly a year later. I will be going to court in a week or so and wonder if there is a statute of limitation to charge me in this case. I heard rumor that it is 180 days. This occured in Allegheny County of PA

Re: Public Drunkeness
The 180 days applies to bail. That is if you were being held pre-trial because you could not make bail they have 180 days to bring you to trial. If not bail must be reduced.
