Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
i got a public drunkenness/theft of services.. but both cases were dismissed.. will they show up on an employer background check? my attorney wants me to pay an expungement fee but i can't see why since they were dismissed.

Your attorney is correct. It will show on the PA criminal background check. Your background includes every charge you have ever been charged with, regardless of whether it was dismissed, you were found not guilty, or you were found guilty. The report will show that the case was dismissed, but nonetheless, employers will see that you were charged with those crimes.
