Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
stolen property
If some one steals a pc, valued at $2,500, what could the P.A. consequences be. They were living together for over a year.

Re: stolen property
Theft of anything over $2000 in value is a third degree felony in PA. However, I would be surpirsed if the value of a used computer was over $2000. NOnetheless, the person is looking at a felony record, and depending on the county, probation or incarceration.
Good Luck

Re: stolen property
This sounds to me as if the police may simply treat the problem as a civil dispute between boyfriend/ girlfriend especially if both were using the PC.
