Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
I thought that only convictions were included on a criminal background check, yet my daughter's shows charges that were dropped. Why would they be included, and what can she do about this issue?

Charges that are dropped will be included in a background check. Most employers/schools look down at things like that, because although she beat the case, she was still involved in something. That's the idea that is triggered in their heads.
I would get an expungement done. An expungement is a proceeding that is can remove those charges from her record.
