Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Pennsylvania

My 16 yr old son discrimated against

two of my son's friends went to our local store. One of the kids tried to steal a carton of cigarettes and got caught. The other friend that was with him didn't try to steal anything. They were both banned from that store. My son was home with me at that time. When I sent him to that store for me the next day the emplyees told him that he was banned from the store. When my son asked for a reason they said the assistant manager put him on the list of banned kids because she knows that he is friends with the kid that was with the other kid that stole that day.She also put every other teenager who are friends with this kid on the list. She also has 1 kid on there because she said she heard that he was a drug dealer.(which is not true).By putting my son and all these other kids on the list she is labeling them as thieves.my son is 16 with no criminal record. He never stole anything. Is this discrimnation and slander?Do u think I have a case against this store? My son told him that they were other people in the store when this was mentioned to him.You have how rumors get around. Now everyone probably thinks that he is a thief.

Would love to talk to you about this.

While stores generally have a right to exclude people from their premises, to say that it is for the reason they're claiming is a potential problem (e.g., defamation of character). I am hearing more and more about this type of thing.

I would have to do some research on this, but if you're interested in talking about it, email me and let me know.
