Legal Question in DUI Law in Pennsylvania

DUI underage foreign visitor

hi I have 20 years old, I was pull over after making a right on a red ligth( no turns on red), I was arrested, but I got no fines, my court day is on march 24th(preliminary), I just have a brazilian license, and internacional permit to drive, and it expires on march 20th.

what could happen?

what would be the penalties and fines?

and the fact my internacional license is exparing right before my court day, will be a problem or no?

I'll go back to my country in a few months.

Re: DUI underage foreign visitor

This is an interesting question. You mention an illegal right turn on red but not the DUI so I'm going to assume that the right turn on red was the reason you were stopped and that you were also charged with a DUI. You weren't fined because a DUI is a misdemeanor not a summary. The DUI sentence including fines depends on your BAC (blood alcohol content). I do not think that there is an international Drivers License Compact so you should be okay as far as license suspension.

I'm not sure how international probation would be handled especially under these circumstances. You really need a lawyer for this case.
