adoption rights

when two people conceive a child together and are not married can the mother give the baby up for adoption without the father knowing about it or does the father have a right to this child?

As the father, you certainly have rights. If not already born, make sure your name is on the birth certificate. Any agency is required to have both parents sign Consents to an adoption. If you are not together, then I would also suggest that you file for custody rights. Please contact me to further discuss.
