Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Case for spousal support

I have a court hearing relating to spousal support i am requesting. As a cpa, i work 6-7 days in tax season and 3 days a week out of tax season(may-dec). Although, i make industry standards for cpa salary, my wife is claiming that i can make more working those 2 days. During those days i watch my son as i have since he was born 4 years ago. I have been with the same employer 12 years(entire marriage). What is the effect on earnings capacity if any and can you site any specific case law regarding similiar circumstances. Effectively, if a person makes what their annual salary should be in their field, and chooses to raise a child during available off season hours, with no decrease in pay, should their salary be inputed in this case. Case law examples would be great. Thank you

Re: Case for spousal support

The key to your case is that you have been on this schedule since the child's birth and that you aren't on the schedule to reduce the amount you have to pay support. I recommend having a lawyer represent you as a support award of $100/monmth more than you should pay in your case would cost over $16,000 over the life of the support period. I offer free consultations.
