Child Custody Question
I went to the court house and picked up papers for Child Custody. If both of the parents are agreeable to the document, do we still have to file it at the court house? Could we go to a notary and get the document notarized? Would that stand up in court? I am the mother's step sister. The children are placed with me threw children and youth. There is going to be a meeting on Tuesday, between Children and youth and the father and mother. I would like to know what I have to do to ensure the children's safety and well being. Would the notary stand up in the courts?

Re: Child Custody Question
No to have some then stand up in court it has to be a court order.
All a notarization does is show that you proved to the notary who you say you are when you signed the document.
