Child Support Agreement

If an agreement about child support is written by two people who are not lawyers and is notorized, is that considered a binding legal document in a court of law? (The woman is giving up the right to sue for child support.)

Re: Child Support Agreement

Your question raises several issues and concerns. I do not know if yuo are the mother or the father. Generally, under PA law, the right to child support blongs to the children. As a result, that right cannot be contracted away by the parent. However, there are ways to enter into agreements which will likely accomplish what you intend. If you would like to discuss this matter futher, please contact me.
