Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Contempt

My custody order from 8-24-05 says that ''mother shall keep father advised of problems or progress regarding major issues affecting the children's upbringing. Each party shall have open, complete and direct access to the children's medical, dental, educational and religious records.'' she has not contacted me since the court date. they have been to the dr. several times since, & the oldest is in school. can she be held in contempt? how do i go about this? is it up to the m other to get me these records? she has also had them baptized with her church with out my consent, is this also reason to hold her in contempt?

Re: Contempt

Well if you want to start a war that will cost a large fortune you could file a complaint but why. More to the point has any of the mother's actions not been in the best interests of the child?

Since you have complete access to the children's medical records why not write the Dr. a letter with a copy of the order showing you have the right to know.

Don't expect to be spoon fed. You were granted access to the record nothing you said indicates its mother's duty to tell you.

Remember you'll both be parents of the kids long after the custody order ends.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

As to the baptism well she should have asked but didn't. So let's say that is a violation of the agreement. What would be your remedy. In other words what would you like the court to order mother to do to make it up to you?
