My daughter is a US citizen, but I am not. Me and my wife both are on valid work visa (H1B).

My daughter was born in CT state and now we are residing in PA state for the last 4 years. we would like to change her first name, so please do let me know if this is possible and should I apply for her name change in PA state

Yes, it is possible -- by way of a Petition for Change of Name. Pennsylvania statutes provide the specific requirements to accomplish this, including proper publication of the hearing date, time and place. To make sure it's done right, you should probably consult with a family law attorney here in PA.

I've successfully handled child name changes in my practice. If you'd like to further discuss your case, feel free to contact me offsite. Best of luck to you.
