Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Father's Paternity Rights

My brother's girlfriend was claiming he's the father of her baby (currently 5 months pregnant), but now won't say for sure. She is refusing to have a paternity test done. She already had amnio. If this is his child, he wants to pay the support and take care of it and have shared custody. Can a father have a paternity test performed without the mother's permission? If not, what are his rights to force her to have the test done so he knows for sure? Can she legally keep him from knowing if he's the father?

Re: Father's Paternity Rights

There are ways for him to force the issue to determine whether the child is his and to seek shared/partial custody of the child. If your brother would like to discuss this matter with me, I would be happy to talk with him about it.
