Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania
Can I sell the house?
My husband and I bought a new house in PA a year ago. However, because he has very poor credit, the mortgage is in my name only. The deed, though, is in both of our names. I am planning to leave soon. Am I allowed to put the house up for sale without his consent? I want the mortgage out of my name and he does not have the credit to refinance in his name. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Can I sell the house?
You can't sell the house because the house is owned by both of you as a married couple. You are not allowed to sell the house nor mortgage it without his consent.
