Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

Barking Dog

My neighbors dog barks 4-10 hours (yes TEN) a day every day. It is destroying the enjoyment of my home, both inside and out, ruining the sleep of my family, and basically making me insane. What recourse do I have? We have tried the police, with no luck, and speaking to him does no good.

Re: Barking Dog

You have the right to quiet enjoynet of your property. You can brind a civil suit against your neighbor on the basis that his dog's constant barking is a nuisance. In all liklihood you would have to hire a lawyer to bring such a suit, where you would be seeking an injunction or other such relief, or else be subject to financial damages.
