Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania
Possible harassment
My wife works in a church office as a secretary. One of the pastors (her boss) approached her one day and commented about a dream that he had the previous night. This dream involved my wife dancing for him with sexual implications. The pastor did not go into details of the dream. He also finished his comments with saying that he believed it was a warning from the Holy Spirit to keep a whatch on. None the less it made things wierd for my wife and myself in reguards to her job and position at the church. About six months later we decided to meet with both pastors of the church and an elder to address some of the work environment issues. The pastor who had the dream became very deffensive and almost accusatory. He stated during the meeting that, ''there is no way this dream could have been take the wrong way in any other environment.'' I disagreed with him but decided to not pursue any more arguing during the meeting. My question is: what are our rights (my wife and I) and are we just making a bigger deal than really needs to be addressed.

Re: Possible harassment
You are not making a bigger deal out of it then you should. In no work place should this kind of talk be accepted. The fact that the work place in this instance is a church by a pastor makes it even more repugnant. Think about what you want to come out of this. Do you want money damages? Do you want the guy fired? Do you want both? Do you want the guy to go to counseling? When you have more of an idea of what you want to come out of this speak with an attorney.
