Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

i was in a minor fender bender three years ago i bumped into the back of a pickup truck at a light i just had the sheriffs drop a summons off to me today almost 3 years later. i was driving my brother in laws car it was and still is insured he drives it to work all the time the only damage was the tow ball on the pickup broke the grill of his neon. i drove my brother in laws car home that night from the accident, the guy when it happened jumped out the truck asked if i was ok i said yes and i asked if they were fine he said yes we then pulled onto a side road and waited for cops to come. cops came and took report the ems looked at everyone then i went back and dropped of my brother in laws car . didnt hear anything untill today got summons dont have amount they want on it or anything. so i guess i am asking what should i do i have never gotten one of these befor, they filled a civil action agienst me i dont know what that is, what should i do please help

Three years later they get around to suing you? You should see a lawyer. They only have 2 years to get around suing you.
