Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

Removing someone from my house

My girlfriend moved in with me several months ago, quit her job, and just wants me to take care of her. I own my home and want to get her out. She fights with me constantly and tries to bait me into pushing or hitting her, but I won't. She fights all night and I need to get her out to gain back sanity in my life. She follows me all around town. What rights do I have as a home owner to remove her?

The safest and surest method may be to evict her depending on a number of factors including how long she has tlived there. You should speak with an attorney. I offer free consultations.

Re: Removing someone from my house

Your girlfriend is a guest in your home and not a tenant. I suggest you call the police and speak with them about the situation. Tell them you want to remove her from the premises peacefully. If she threatens you then you can file a protection from abuse complaint. Taht will force a court hearing that will keep her away from you. If the police help you problems can be avoided. You might have to change the locks or charge her with trespass to keep her away. She has no interest in the home and bring that proof to the police. You have placed yourself in an emotionally difficult situation. Gerald Hershenson Esq.
