Being sued for accident again after other party found at fault by insurance

About two years ago i was involved in an accident my car was wrecked along with the other i turned it in to my insurance my car was fixwd. when the other party turned there claim in my insurance denied the claim stating the other party at fault not me my deductable was returned. about a week ago i recieved papers stating a civil lawsuit for 8,000 in damages. am i responsible for this and what should i do?
