Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

business reference law

An ex-employee of mine applied for a job at another company. That company called me as a business reference. That employee was not a good employee and I would not rehire her. What can I legally say when that business calls me and questions her performance, attendance, and if i would rehire her?

It would be approriate for you to merely confirm the dates of her employment with you. You should not convey your unfavorable opinions.
