defamtion of charcater/libel
my boss called my current boss and provided him with erroneous and derogatory information that result in the lost of a very promising job. he stated i was a terrible employee and suffered from mental illness none of which is true or documented in any employee records.

I don't know what your question is exactly. Certainly the facts you state if true may provide a basis for a slander action and or other potential issues.
