defamtion of charcater/libel

my boss called my current boss and provided him with erroneous and derogatory information that result in the lost of a very promising job. he stated i was a terrible employee and suffered from mental illness none of which is true or documented in any employee records.

I don't know what your question is exactly. Certainly the facts you state if true may provide a basis for a slander action and or other potential issues. You would be well advised to contact an attorney to discuss this matter. However do not wait as there are short sttute of limitations on slander type actions.
