Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

employment

my daughter works for an MRI center which is for sale. They were supposed to get their pay checks for the previous 2 weeks last Thursday, Oct. 23 & they have still not received their pay & no explanation other than the office manager has not been directed to dispense the pay checks. Is there any recourse & should she continue going to work if there is any question whether they will be paid at all.

Re: employment

You asked about not getting paid for work.

First off, the involved adult should be asking her own questions. This isn't your problem, its hers.

Employers do not have to pay employees until two weeks after the end of a pay period. If an employer fails to pay a complaint to the wage and hour division will solve the problem quickly.

Pay is ocassionnaly slow during a sale as a firm tries to pump up the balance sheet a little bit to make the potential price higher.

Regards,

Roger
