Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

Unemployment claim issue

Hello, I filed for unemployment compensation and received notice of determination. The letter said that I was ineligible; all the information including: employer info, dates of work, facts of termination were incorrect. I honestly don't know how this could happen and where all the info. came from. I specifically sent them a FEDEX overnight package two weeks ago but, for some strange, reason it never made it to the caseworker who reviewed my case. I talked to my former employer and he said that nobody contacted him either. Of course I have aright to appeal, but why I am appealing something that came from nowhere? I sent them another package with copies of my original documents that got lost. What do you think may happen in this case? I am tired of being on the phone for hours with UC and not getting any clear information about this issue. Could they just correct the mistake; process my claim according to the standards; contact my employer; and then issue new determination, therefore, voiding the one that was made by mistake? Or I will go for appeal? Thank you!

Re: Unemployment claim issue

i would file an appeal within the the time period allowed. You would then have a hearing to contradict the information that was erroneously in your file.
