Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania
wrongfully demoted
Can a company who praises one employee for a job well done. Be able to demote them without prior notice other then a written warning based on minor things such as dress code.
From managment earning $12.50 an hr Full-Time to $7.50 Part-Time.
Can anyone tell me was this lawful or not?

Re: wrongfully demoted
In general, sure. People can demote, hire and fire at will. If they demoted you because you were wearing a yarmulke or a muslim headdress, you MIGHT have some claim for race or religious discrimination, but generally, they can fire you for violation of a dress code, or whatever they want.
